This is to record a trope that you might have seen in certain shows. This trope is about cultivating a group of children within a strictly controlled environment; the children themselves are often very small (pre-pubescent at the oldest), and within the environment sex (which is often represented by puberty) is often a taboo and used as a major plot point, either because their reproduction serves certain purposes or has certain implications, or because it contains the one major rebellious phase. This trope is often used alongside a post-apocalypse setting.
